Chapter 3
"The Date"
Stephanie was in her room getting ready when Jennifer and Jessie Jo came in. “Hey Jessie! That’s why you called!” Stephanie said as she put on her mascara. “Yep, me and Jennifer are sleeping in the living room tonight!” Jessie said. “I’m going on a date with Aaron tonight!” Stephanie said. They giggled and Jen said, “You are not!” “Am too! Ask mama!” Stephanie said. They went and asked, and her mom said yes. Stephanie heard what they were saying and then yelled, “Told ya!” She finished getting ready and went down stairs. She asked her mom and grandma how she looked. “You look great!” they said. She was in a red tank top with hip hugging bell bottoms, and beach shoes.
It was almost six when Stephanie heard the door bell ring. “Here I go!” she told her mom. “Be back by eleven!” her mom said. “Ok, love you bye!” she said as she went to get the door. She opened the door and saw Aaron looking handsome as ever. “Hey!” she said. “Hey! Ready to go?” he asked. “Yeah!” she said as they walked down the steps, “Where’s the limo?” “We’re not taking the limo, we’re taking my motorcycle!” he said. “Wow!! Even cooler!!” she laughed as he handed her a helmet. She hopped on and wrapped her arms around Aaron to hold on. He started it up and they drove away.
Aaron drove to this outdoor restaurant. He in the back and they went in. A waiter took them to a table that was sort of not around any other table. They sat down and started talking. “So what do you want to order?” Aaron asked. “I don’t know, probably just a burger.” she said. “Ok cool. They put a lot of fries in one order, so you wanna share an order of fries?” he asked. “Sure.” she said handing the waiter her menu. “We would like two burgers and an order of fries.” Aaron told the waiter. “Ok and to drink?” he said. “Sprite.” they said together. “Ok!” he said and left. Aaron and Stephanie talked and talked; then they ate and talked some more. “You want dessert?” Aaron asked. “Sure.” she said. They both ordered a bowl of chocolate ice cream. As they were eating a the song from the Disney Mania CD came on; “Kiss the Girl”. “I have the CD this is on!” Stephanie said. “Cool.” Aaron said. They ate their ice cream and the song was still playing. Aaron was looking at Stephanie and she was looking at him. He leaned in to kiss her when they heard a mob of girls scream, “AH!!! It’s Aaron Carter!” He looked at Stephanie and said, “Run.” Don’t get it wrong Aaron loves his fans, but he was on a date and wanted to be alone with her. He grabbed her hand and they ran out.
They were running down the sidewalk and the girls followed. “Oh my gosh!” Stephanie laughed. “I’m so sorry!” Aaron said as they still ran. “It’s ok! At least it can’t get any worse!” she said. Just then they heard thunder and it started to pour! “It just got worse!” Aaron said. They looked back and saw all the girls screaming and running into a store. They ran a little more and then Aaron said, “They’re gone!” as he stopped and put his hands on his knees and leaned down to catch his breath. “Yeah.” Stephanie said out of breath. “Let’s go under there!” Aaron said pointing at a gazebo. They ran under it.
When they got under there Stephanie started laughing. “What’s wrong?” he asked laughing a little. “Nothing, that was just kinda funny.” she said. “Yeah...I’m sorry though.” he laughed. “Oh it’s fine!” she said and laughed again as she looked down. “What?” Aaron asked. “We’re soaked!” she laughed ringing out her soaking wet hair. “Yeah!” he said shaking his head slinging the water out; some of it went on Stephanie. “Hey!” she said slinging her hair so water would go on him. “Ha ha...not fair!” he said grabbing her and tickling her. “Ah! No that isn’t fair!” she said turning around. Aaron looked at her; she laughed a little, then he leaned in to kiss her when someone said, “Hey you kids! This is private property! You have to leave.” a police man said. “Oh ok! No problem!” Aaron said taking Stephanie’s hand as they went back in to the almost died out rain.
They were walking back to Aaron’s motor cycle, holding hands when Stephanie giggled a little and said, “Isn’t that funny!” “What?” he asked. “Well...ha ha...that like, never mind; it’s stupid.” she said. “I bet not! Come on tell me.” Aaron begged as they stopped walking. “Well like something always happens when we are about to kiss! See I told you it was stupid, your gonna laugh, and now I’m embarrassed, I...” Steph said and Aaron interrupted by kissing her. They kissed for a second, then Stephanie said, “Wow!” as the kiss ended. They hugged and stared walking again. “So...I guess that means that your my, yeah.” Aaron said. “Your what?” Stephanie asked. “My...girlfriend?” he asked. “Um...yeah.” she laughed. “Cool.” he said and kissed her on the cheek.
